WHAT CAN I EXPECT MY READING TO BE LIKE?
Great question! Each are personalized to the client, but in general it goes like this: I’ll ask you what brought you to the reading - if we’re working with a specific query, we’ll shape its language to receive the most information from the cards. We’ll select a spread most appropriate to your needs. I’ll bring us into a safe communicative space with our guides and the cards before we draw your spread. I will give an overview of what the cards are saying and then together we’ll apply it to your life. Often the cards offer questions for your blind spots. Sometimes they are definitively advising a course of action. Always they reflect back to you your internal landscape in a way that clarifies. If we are also working with chakras, we’ll pull chakra cards to check in with which areas of your life are flowing and which need more attention. If desired I will offer exercises to address what we find.
CAN TAROT PREDICT THE FUTURE?
No. Tarot is a fruitful dialogue between cards, reader and seeker, which reflects your internal and external landscape with specificity and honesty. Through its imagery, numerology and rich traditions, Tarot can provide the clarity which may not be available to you otherwise on issues concerning you. At its simplest, my job as a reader is to connect you with the guidance provided in the cards, which will help you make decisions and take action in your life. Tarot does not predict the future – otherwise we’d be rushing out to buy lottery tickets after every reading! I am not a medium or a psychic. I am an intuitive and experienced tarot reader and through reading the cards I provide illumination with the intention of highest good. HOW DO I ASK A QUESTION?
Tarot readings respond best to open ended questions rather than yes/no questions. We’ll spend a moment shaping your query to yield the most substantial results. Generally questions focused on the “how” “why” or “what” of an issue are most successfully answered, and those which acknowledge your own sense of agency. Questions on behalf of other people tend not to yield results since their energy is not present. For health or legal concerns, please consult a doctor, therapist or lawyer.
HOW LONG DOES EACH READING TAKE?
A three card reading generally takes about 30 minutes, a ten card spread about 90 minutes and a spread combined with chakra explorations and exercises about just under two hours. If you're not sure which service is right for you, contact me and we'll choose a spread suited to your current needs!
CAN YOU DO READINGS REMOTELY?
Yes! During these times, I am offering readings over Zoom or 'phone. Other platforms available, just ask. It requires that we both be as focused as we would be in person, so I may take a little more time guiding you into the session. I also offer written readings via email. Questions? Contact me!
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
For cancellations, I ask that you give a courtesy notice of 24 hours in order to avoid forfeiting your payment. For rescheduling within the week of your original booking, I ask for a courtesy notice of 12 hours and I will do my very best to accommodate you at our mutual convenience.
